Dowdle Folk Art
Renowned folk artist, Eric Dowdle, captivates people of all ages with the wit charm and detail with which he portrays scenes from around the U.S. and the world. His quirky and infection personality is represented in his collection of hundreds of paintings, which are highly valued by collectors and distributed as high quality prints, gifts and puzzles. Eric started painting in his early twenties, parting ways with college after one year, to “go make something happen.” Making things happen is what Eric does–painting, exploring, and working day and night to expand his collection of distinctive folk art paintings.
As he’s traveled the world to research for his highly collectible paintings, Eric has been exposed to countless people and cultures. Since 2012, he’s shared these experiences on the wildly popular weekly Sirius XM 143 radio program, “Traveling with Eric Dowdle.” Eric and his team are currently in production for a television series following his travels and artwork. “Painting the Town with Eric Dowdle” is scheduled to premier on public television in 2015.
Being an artist is not just a job to Eric. Through his art, travels and charitable ventures, he demonstrates his values each day. Today, his work is distributed throughout the world. His research has taken him everywhere, from Kenya and China to the South Pacific and Europe, And yet, hi favorite destination is still his home in Utah, with his wife and five children.
